Speedboat transfer takes 45 minutes from Male International Airport. The return rates are:

4 days of PURE BLISS !

I travelled to Maldives with the twin objectives of getting my mind off the pandemic and also off my work ! Thank you Taj Coral Reef for helping me achieve both objectives. Add the bonus benefit of an expert, friendly chef Satya and untiring staff such as Gayatri, front office executive, Kosala (front office staff), Rajan (front office), Sajani (restaurant staff) and Mr Khanna, the super humble, present everywhere GM. All of them were totally Covid compliant in their behaviour and movements. A special word of THANKS to Chef Satya for serving all the dishes i requested for. And a special word of THANKS to Gayatri for responding quickly to redress my issue regarding a deficient AC (villa 115). Before i could get worked up she came over and made sure i was given a nearby villa (110) where the AC was fine. The SPA has well experienced staff. The languid pace of activity reminded me of Taj Holiday Village in Goa ! And the scenery so reminded me of Taj Langkawi island ! Taj Coral Reef has several mind-blowing features that satisfied me — a highlight being the brilliantly accessible sea waters from the villa. When i had a drink at the Reef Bar and sat on the easy chair, i was so reminded of that loveable Goan expression: SOSEGAAD !! Each member of the team delivered that unique attribute of ‘Tajness’. Thank you Taj Coral Reef Maldives team ! Pls keep it up.

The perfect vacation.

Everything! Staff - They are happy, friendly, and efficient. It all starts with the GM Samir Khanna. He was there from early morning helping out with breakfast, all the way till the end of the day. He helped out with whatever was needed and made sure everything ran smoothly. Carmin Pinto who was in charge of the food and beverages made sure the food was excellent , freshly made, and delicious. The staff were happy and had worked there for many years (many more than a decade) and their happiness was infectious. Island - Great island that is manageable by foot. You don't need a cart to get around. Reef - Some beautiful reefs and fish. The fish feeding is spectacular.

Only suggestion is that the fitness center needs to be upgraded. The equipment is a little old and the room was a little stuffy.

Caught us by surprise. One of our fav places to stay in Maldives.

With all the nature, wild marine lives, the people, and the raw beauty this small island has to offer, it is safe to say that Taj Coral Reef is one of our favs in Maldives. I have visited Maldives with my wife multiple times. Staying at Taj Coral Reef after the covid-19 pandemic was quite a unique experience. The rawness in nature here really stood out, making us feel like we were on a remote island. I felt the staffs here genuinely care about you. My 6-year-old son loved the food and the stingray feeding that happened every evening. During our stay, the housekeeping manager came talk to us to make sure that things were ok in our room. The food portion was good. Their curry platters were all very tasty. Service at the restaurant was exceptional and clean.

Beautiful but pricy stay

We had a really nice stay at Taj Coral Reef. We were welcomed by smiling and polite staff who were always happy and providing really good customer service. We stayed in a over water villa and it was just beautiful, the room was big, and always clean, the staff did everyday an awesome job. The resort is peaceful, green and had everything you really need to relax and enjoy your stay. We did few locals island before going there so we did all our excursions previously, we just wanted to relax as much as possible. The swimming pool was amazing too. We had really an amazing time in our villa, it was a real dream.

I understand that if you can afford to go to Maldives or a resort like that you should have money to spend but I think that it was really pricy. I am happy to pay that much for an over water villa but I think that the food could be a little cheaper. Paying $59 USD (including 23.2% of taxes, which I know is a government imposition, but service charge should be optional) for a pizza and a coke, its ridiculous guys, water and a bit of flower with some cheese. Also we paid $48 USD plus taxes for a plate of pasta, not more than 100 gr and the sauce that tasted like coming from a tin of tomato sauce. If you want to charge that much for a pasta you should really upgrade your culinary experience. I think also that you should give more options for international people, 8 items out of 10 are spicy with no mild option, we struggle a lot to choose what to eat. Also, you offer in the room water which has been filtered in the resort but then you go to the restaurant and you have to pay $6 USD plus taxes for a bottle of water, I don't find it really fair. It was our first time in a Taj resort and we didn't know what to expect, also because the menus are not available online, and I understand why now, everyone should be able to know what to expect and don't have surprises at the end.
